Tuesday - Painting TIM Center & Orphanage Visit

Tuesday began with a visit to the paint store to pick up the paint. Then they spent about 8 hours painting the TIM Center. They were able to get all of the walls done in the large room and about half of the trim. Jayson said the trim is very detailed so the work was very tedious. They should be able to finish painting that room tomorrow. Elizabeth spent most of the day picking out colors and measuring for blinds for the entire building with Biju. She texted me this morning to say that she had conquered the turkish toilet aka "squatty potty".  She said they are all tired, but that it's been great so far!

After a long day of painting, they went to the eat dinner at the orphanage. Jayson said that the children were so sweet and full of smiles. He was excited that the boys seemed to really remember him from the last two trips. They were able to make a video for AWANA that we will show tomorrow night. We are so excited about that! Hopefully I can post it.

Shane wrote home saying that the visit to the orphanage was worth the whole trip. He got to pray over the children and said that he was really moved by how powerful their worship was (as a side note...these children fast and pray with the TIM staff once a week. Their love for the Lord is powerful and precious!). They were able to give out the backpacks filled with school supplies and candy and they gave the cards that our kiddos made for them. Jayson said that they sat very still with the backpacks on their laps until Biju gave them permission to open them. They are so well-mannered. They were thrilled with the gifts inside!  Then they went back to the hotel headed to bed. Except Elizabeth & Bill who were holding out until their kids woke up so they could skype :)

Praises:
Able to do a good bit of work today
All are healthy, just tired
Special time that they had at the orphanage

Pray:
For continued strength and good health
As they go visit Hinduni village tomorrow (Shane & Margaret's SS class adopted this village!)
That they would be filled with the Spirit as they speak/teach
That they would be lights for Christ in this very unreached place
